Why a Dental Crown or Bridge?
Crowns and bridges help strengthen and improve your tooth’s appearance, improve your bite, and help the alignment of your teeth. If you have gaps from missing teeth, your remaining teeth may shift out of place affecting your bite and appearance. Proper placement of crowns and bridges can help prevent shifting from occurring.

Dental Bridges
Bridges are another restorative option, used to replace one or more teeth. If you have missing teeth, your remaining teeth may shift causing bite problems and this may lead to temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorders.
Bridges span the space left by missing teeth. Your doctor cements them into place using either your natural teeth or implants, these are known as abutments and serve as anchors for your new bridge.
The replacement teeth, called pontics, are attached to the crowns that cover the abutments. Your doctor has his choice of materials for bridges and will recommend the correct one depending on the position of the bridge. Porcelain bridges can be made to match the shape and color of your natural teeth and give you a very natural appearance.
