What We Offer

At Goehring Dental, you get the entire package at one location through extensive training, knowledge, and continuing education. Furthermore, we offer a wide array of dental services at our practice. More than anything, we want our patients to feel the confidence in our team to complete all their dental treatments, large and small.

Advanced Dental Care

Our South Austin dentist Dr. Goehring has been highly trained beyond dental school. He participated in the GPR (General Practice Residency) program in San Antonio. Dr. Goehring is highly experienced performing specialized procedures such as dental implants and Invisalign®, in addition to routine cleanings and general dentistry. This gives our patients the opportunity to have all of their dental work taken care of in one place, by one doctor.

Our Appointment Process

When you arrive for your appointment, please let our front desk managers know you are here and if there are any changes in your medical history or insurance. We make every attempt to see every patient at their scheduled appointment time. On occasion, due to unforeseen situations, this may not be possible. If such a situation should occur, we will let you know.

We value your time and we know you will value ours as well. If you’re unable to make your appointment, a 48-hour notice is required. Any last-minute changes in your appointment can affect you as well as other patients, and we reserve the right to charge a fee if the proper notice is not given.

At the initiation of treatment, we’ll advise you of our findings and your treatment options. We’ll review the number and duration of appointments anticipated as well as an estimation of fees for our services. Our mission is to provide you with the finest and most comprehensive dental care possible.

Insurance Policy

As a courtesy to you and with verification of dental coverage, we’ll submit insurance claims for you. We’ll estimate what your portion will be and you’ll be asked to pay your portion at each visit. Please remember, insurance is not always what it appears to be and generally only covers a percentage of the total treatment cost. That percentage varies greatly between insurance companies and even between plans within the same insurance company.

We’re happy to assist you, but it’s ultimately your responsibility to keep up with your benefits. Our relationship is with you and not with your insurance company. If your insurance refuses to pay for any reason, you’re responsible for any remaining balance. If there are any changes in your dental coverage, please notify our office before your next appointment.

How often should I get my teeth cleaned?

To maintain healthy teeth and gums, make sure to visit your dentist for a professional cleaning at least twice a year. Typically, most patients schedule a checkup roughly every six months. If you’re especially prone to tooth decay or gum disease, your dentist may recommend coming in more often.

What are my options for replacing missing teeth?

We feature a variety of tooth replacement options at Goehring Dental. For most patients, we recommend dental implants, thanks to their superior functionality and long-term health benefits. However, Dr. Goehring is also happy to replace missing teeth with natural-looking dentures or a fixed dental bridge. Can my child get treatment at your practice?

Yes! At Goehring Dental, we’re more than happy to provide exceptional dental care for patients of all ages. We encourage parents to start bringing their kids to our office around age 3 — this helps them grow comfortable in our office and understand the importance of oral hygiene from an early age.

What if I need special accommodations?

Dr. Goehring and our team understand that no two patients are exactly alike, which is why we do everything in our power to maintain an environment that’s comfortable for all. In addition to offering sedation options for any patient with dental anxiety, our staff has completed additional training to help accommodate patients with special needs. Not every dental office is equipped to handle special needs patients and we pride ourselves on making everyone feel welcome.
